Ceramic Coating Service in San Diego
Give your beloved car a fresh start! Detail it with a new ceramic coating by the best of the best in town! But what exactly is a ceramic coat? A nano-ceramic coating system is an ultra-durable layer of glass covering every inch of your vehicle’s surface. This acts as a barrier between your paint and harmful elements on the road.
Think of it as a sacrificial layer on your car’s surface to safeguard the paint and clear coat underneath. If you live in an area where winter ice and snow are prominent, this protective layer will make those harsh chemicals easier to remove due to the coating’s hydrophobic properties. Moreover, it acts as an extra shield from environmental pollutants, tree sap, scratches from road salt, grime, dirt, industrial fallout dust, binding brake dust, and anything else that tries to ruin your car’s paint job. Overall, it helps your beloved ride stay cleaner longer!
Permanent 10 Year Ceramic Protection
While you spend most of your time inside, the exterior deserves top attention too. Our ceramic coatings, made to last a lifetime with proper care, are crafted from SunCoat® Ceramics' pro-grade 9H formula. This advanced nano-technology adds impressive depth to your paint, offers unmatched water repellency, and protects surfaces like paint, glass, trim, rims, and even interior leather and fabric on request. At Z’s Detail, we’re committed to delivering exceptional results, backed by our 100% satisfaction guarantee.
How We Apply Ceramic Coatings in San Diego
The ceramic coating application process takes precision and expertise—that’s where Z’s Detail comes in. We know that proper preparation and the right equipment are essential for a long-lasting finish. Before every application, we take the time to understand your vehicle fully.
Our first step is to perfect the paint. We dedicate time to correcting the exterior, addressing minor scratches, marks, and faded areas. This paint correction ensures a flawless surface before the ceramic coating goes on, as any imperfections become permanent once the first layer is applied.
Maintaining Ceramic Coatings
To keep your ceramic coating at its best, we recommend regular hand washes—ideally once a month—for maximum protection, durability, and that enhanced glossy finish. Avoid tunnel car washes, as they can cause swirl marks and compromise the coating. Instead, opt for a touchless wash to preserve the integrity of your finish.
At Z’s Detail, we offer exclusive monthly maintenance for our ceramic coating clients to keep your vehicle looking its best. For pricing, call 760-802-0086. Regular upkeep is key to maintaining that flawless finish.
Installing the Ceramic Coating
Once the paint correction is complete, our Z’s Detail team applies SunCoat® ceramic coating by hand, using a one-inch soft foam applicator for precision. We finish with a nano-ceramic sealant containing silicon dioxide and titanium dioxide, adding an extra layer of protection. The final step is allowing the coating to cure for six hours, achieving a hydrophobic surface and a durable bond.
A properly applied ceramic coating will show water beading, where droplets form on top of the paint instead of sticking. We ensure the coating cures in a controlled environment, securing a flawless bond to your vehicle’s paint.
Annual Inspections & Warranty
To maintain your ceramic coating warranty, annual inspections must be performed by an approved applicator within 30 days before or after the anniversary of your last service. Missing this inspection period will void the warranty. A $250 fee covers the Annual Inspection, which includes an exterior wash, detail, clay bar treatment, decontamination, topcoat application, and a full inspection.
